Stamp of Action

Concept/Purpose of the Work:
Stamp of action- Where we motivate each other to take action against injustice.
My goal for this project is to create an organization that can be used to help identify other organizations and their message. Wether that be feminist issues, climate issues and racial issues. The purpose is that this stamp of action can be used to represent a stance with each different issue of injustice we currently face in society.
We currently live in a society that is unjust with the amount of inequality we are still facing today. Every instance of injustice that we see on a daily basis all have their own organizations. I am creating a way to help identify and support those injustices but in a way that other organizations would want to join and be a part of, showing them that they are not alone. Not taking away from the injustice itself but highlighting those who share equal importance. The goal is to work alongside these other organizations. Together never against each other. To represent this in the best way, I took inspiration from the fist graphic commonly used as a symbol of resistance. I also wanted to include the essence of change and growth, for this I chose the butterfly. Then combined the two to create a butterfly with the wings of fists. This stamp is meant to create action and identify where action is needed to be taken. Creating something that can be identified as a universal symbol for acknowledgement and change.
Results of the Work:
This past spring I was able to do a few trial runs at protest in Winona by handing out buttons and stickers. I feel like this went very well, I had a lot of good feedback from people when interacting with them at the protest.
How the Work Was Delivered to the Masses:
I am still in the process of getting this project up and running but the trial runs I did at the protests is the most this work has been delivered.
