Concept/Purpose of the Work:
The Phipps Center for the Arts is a destination for visual art, theater, song, and dance in Hudson, Wisconsin. Since opening in 1983, The Phipps has been a place to explore, host and celebrate the arts, but when Covid hit in 2020, live theater and music were put on hold. In 2021 when live music and theater returned, our studio was asked to brand the first-ever Phipps Fest Summer Benefit Concert, a free event for the community celebrating The Phipps and a return to live music.
Results of the Work:
Phipps Fest was a huge success that brought together friends and families from the area to celebrate the return of live music! The mix of artist genres paired with the upbeat and electrifying branding introduced the Phipps to new audiences within the community as well as redefined the organization to existing audiences.
How the Work Was Delivered to the Masses:
Our team decided to create a flexible identity that would include options for a logo that could be simplified as needed. We created one-color versions for wearables, and full-color versions for signage and social media. The logo and design elements give nod to the nostalgic 90's music scene while embracing fresh and vibrant colors.
Months before the event, we created dozens of assets for promotion on social media. By the day of the event, assets expanded to include signage and posters.
