Concept/Purpose of the Work:
For this piece I took inspiration from the wide range of injustices we have faced in the past two years that were brought to light. These injustices have been around for years but now with the death of George Floyd, Brianna Taylor, Daunte Wright, everyone is more aware of how these issues have not been resolved and are no ware near being over. I wanted to create a typographic piece that represents resist but that we are all standing together, no matter the color of our skin to help and protect black lives.
Results of the Work:
This was a very successful piece for me, I contributed prints to the Minnesota Black Box where this print was placed in different month boxes. They were also sold as individual prints along with T-shirts that are currently being sold on the Minnesota Black Box website.
How the Work Was Delivered to the Masses:
People can order these shirts online, this project was mostly boosted over social media channels such as Facebook and Instagram.
