Concept/Purpose of the Work:
BlankSpace contains the remaining evidence, mission map, and humorous journals of a future, exploratory expedition to find a suitable planet for human habitation – a journey into The Blank Space. Disciplined in its design, the box and its contents play on the fascination and hope that outer space inspires. An effort was made in its creation to, whenever possible, select materials and methods that lean into sustainability – including using FSC certified papers, a soy based singular ink color, printed using wind-generated electricity, and a local chocolatier.
