Concept/Purpose of the Work:
BeyondBackgrounds is a local program that provides support to landlords who are willing to rent to someone with criminal, credit or rental history barriers in their background. I first worked with BeyondBackgrounds to create their new branding including a horizontal logo, vertical logo and a secondary logo (to be used for things like social media profile images, etc.). Next we worked together to create their two-page impact report. The design is custom-built for Beyond Backgrounds complete with a versatile set of custom icons.
Results of the Work:
The BeyondBackgrounds team was thrilled with the work and let me know it made a big difference in their program which has since grown. The branding is seen by potential donors, landlords and tenants alike so it needed to be appealing to multiple audiences. The bright colors and simple brand mark hit the mark! I was most happy with the impact report. I was tasked with organizing the information within only two pages and the end result was clean and impactful. I most enjoy creating bespoke work for clients because it is built with their needs in mind. Now the BeyondBackgrounds team has versatile tools like the custom icons to work with.
How the Work Was Delivered to the Masses:
BeyondBackgrounds uses the branding to put their best foot forward digitally, in print and in person. As mentioned, the organization is trying to reach potential donors, landlords and tenants alike. The impact report was shared digitally with the public. It is important for me to create assets the client can continue using so many of the design elements I created are still utilized by their in-house team.
