Risograph Card Bundle

Concept/Purpose of the Work:
Prompted by the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) while working my Masters of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Design, I created a marketable piece for the annual MCAD Art Sale in 2020. A current event during this time was to support the United States Postal Service, and what better way than to encourage sending mail to loved ones. Utilizing MCAD's service bureau, I was able to create a set of risograph-printed greeting cards.

Results of the Work:

A bundle of four greeting cards were created each fulfilling a popular letter sending event: love letter, greeting, celebratory, and sympathy for a total count of three inks, two paper colors, and four digital illustrations.

How the Work Was Delivered to the Masses:
The MCAD Art Sale is prompted annually by MCAD and its partners. Over 6,500 pieces were submitted by students and alumni, and more than 2,500 sold. After the completion of the MCAD Art Sale, I took the remaining pieces and sold them in my own digital storefront on Etsy. This gave more accessibility to those who wanted my work that were outside of the Minneapolis area who needed shipping options.
