Concept/Purpose of the Work:
Write Volumes asked that I create ebook covers for their theme-based anthology series. They wanted something that felt classic but had a modern twist to it. I aimed to also display the many concepts of the writers featured within the book and showcase their various elements all working together.
I was inspired by the binding of older book covers and modern-day icons to create border art and custom type designed to be adaptable for each of the themes and their corresponding iconography.
Results of the Work:
The ebook series has now been successfully launched for sale on Amazon for nearly two years, with a second series on the way! The covers have helped gain traction for this small self-publishing group on social media, with their followers increasing significantly ever since. Write Volumes is also currently in the process of publishing paperback issues of the books, in hopes of being able to further their outreach to new writers from diverse backgrounds.
How the Work Was Delivered to the Masses:
This was an ebook design, visible digitally anywhere ebooks are available.
